Terms of use

This is a starting template; please have it reviewed before going live.

1. Purpose. Scribe Setu is a free platform that connects students who need a scribe with volunteers. We are a connecting service; we are not the exam authority and do not employ volunteers.
2. Accurate information. You agree to provide truthful information and keep it up to date.
3. Exam rules. Students and volunteers must follow the rules of the exam authority, including any rules about scribe qualification and permission.
4. No payment. Volunteering is unpaid. You must not ask for, offer or accept money for scribe services arranged through the platform.
5. Conduct. Treat others with respect. Harassment, cheating, or sharing of exam content is not allowed and may lead to account suspension and, where appropriate, reporting to the relevant authority.
6. Privacy. Contact details received through the platform may be used only to coordinate the exam assistance.
7. No guarantee. We cannot guarantee that a volunteer will be found or will attend. Please plan ahead.
8. Suspension. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms or compromise safety.
9. Liability. To the extent permitted by law, the platform operators are not liable for losses arising from volunteer or student conduct or from missed exams.
